%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20of%20course,%20although%20I%E2%80%99ve%20cheated%20a%20little%20and%20used%20the%20keyboard%20here%20and%20there,%20editing%20photos,%20typing%20up%20recipes,%20and%20responding%20to%20your%20comments%20over%20this%20past%20month%20has%20been%20out%20of%20the%20question.%20I%E2%80%99m%20sorry%20I%20was%20gone%20so%20long,%20though!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBefore%20you%20get%20all%20worried%20on%20my%20behalf,%20I%E2%80%99m%20not%20actually%20typing%20this%20%E2%80%93%20I%E2%80%99m%20dictating%20it%20using%20voice%20recognition%20software.%20It%E2%80%99s%20frustrating%20sometimes,%20but%20I%20am%20slowly%20getting%20used%20to%20it%20and%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20know%20what%20I%20would%20do%20without%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20month%20ago,%20though,%20back%20when%20I%20was%20in%20denial%20and%20still%20typing/cooking%20through%20the%20pain,%20I%20made%20you%20these%20blueberry%20crisps!%20And%20they%20were%20so,%20so%20good.%20But%20yes,%20I%20can%20sense%20what%20you%E2%80%99re%20about%20to%20tell%20me,%20and%20you%E2%80%99re%20right:%20I%20definitely%20shouldn%E2%80%99t%20have%20done%20that.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20should%20have%20been%20resting%20my%20arms,%20icing%20them%20with%20a%20bag%20of%20frozen%20peas,%20and%20watching%20food%20documentaries%20on%20Netflix.%20Now%20I%20know%20better.%20At%20least%20I%20had%20the%20good%20sense%20to%20choose%20a%20fruit%20to%20crisp-ify%20that%20wouldn%E2%80%99t%20require%20any%20chopping.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBlueberry%20(or%20blackberry)%20crisp%20is%20up%20there%20with%20the%20easiest%20and%20most%20delicious%20of%20all%20summer%20desserts.%20The%20seasonal%20berries%20are%20already%20perfectly%20bite-sized,%20so%20the%20only%20thing%20that%E2%80%99s%20left%20for%20a%20hungry%20baker%20to%20do%20is%20to%20create%20a%20crumbly%20topping%20and%20stick%20it%20all%20in%20the%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20help%20but%20make%20it%20a%20tiny%20bit%20more%20complicated%20than%20that,%20adding%20fresh%20mint%20sugar,%20fresh%20lime%20juice,%20and%20lime%20zest%20to%20the%20blueberries%20before%20I%20sprinkled%20them%20with%20their%20topping.%20I%20guess%20I%20was%20imagining%20it%20to%20be%20a%20baked%20dessert%20version%20of%20a%20blueberry%20mojito.%20The%20fresh%20mint%20perks%20up%20the%20blueberries%20and%20the%20tart%20lime%20juice%20keeps%20the%20crumble%20from%20becoming%20too%20sweet%20%E2%80%93%20in%20my%20humble%20opinion,%20blueberry%20and%20lime%20is%20just%20as%20nice%20of%20a%20combination%20as%20blueberry%20and%20lemon%20(if%20not%20a%20nicer%20one!).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20baked%20the%20crisps%20into%20individual%20ramekins,%20which%20makes%20them%20the%20perfect%20size%20to%20sneak%20one%20at%20a%20time%20for%20yourself%20out%20of%20the%20fridge.%20The%20following%20week,%20though,%20I%20had%20Paula%20re-create%20it%20in%20a%20large%20baking%20dish,%20and%20that%20worked%20fine%20too,%20with%20only%20five%20minutes%20extra%20baking%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAll%20around,%20a%20dessert%20worthy%20of%20the%20height%20of%20the%20summer%20and%20of%20my%203-year%20blogiversary!%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20believe%20it%E2%80%99s%20been%20that%20long!%20(I%20missed%20the%20chance%20to%20mark%20the%20occasion%20back%20in%20mid-July,%20but%20better%20late%20than%20never.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20a%20few%20more%20already-photographed%20recipes%20to%20share%20with%20you,%20too,%20so%20I%20hope%20I%20can%20get%20back%20to%20posting%20on%20Thursdays%20as%20usual%20now,%20but%20the%20photos%20are%20tricky%20to%20insert%20and%20manage%20using%20the%20speech%20recognition%20software,%20so%20that%20means%20still%20using%20the%20keyboard%20and%20mouse%20a%20little%20with%20my%20hands.%20In%20fact,%20it%20was%20probably%20a%20combination%20of%20all%20the%20dragging%20around%20of%20photos%20that%20I%20did%20with%20my%20mouse,%20paired%20with%20my%20dissertation,%20that%20made%20my%20tendinitis%20so%20bad.%20If%20anyone%20has%20any%20advice%20for%20photo%20managing%20shortcuts,%20it%20would%20be%20much%20appreciated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20might%20still%20be%20slow%20to%20respond%20to%20your%20comments,%20since%20I%E2%80%99m%20trying%20to%20spend%20as%20little%20time%20as%20possible%20in%20front%20of%20the%20computer%20screen%20so%20that%20I%20can%20avoid%20the%20temptation%20to%20use%20the%20keyboard%20altogether%20(and%20meanwhile,%20I%20still%20have%20plenty%20of%20food%20documentaries%20on%20Netflix%20to%20catch%20up%20on%E2%80%A6).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERECIPE:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMint-Lime%20Blueberry%20Crisp%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(Serves%206-8)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EActive%20time:%2015%20min.;%20Total%20time:%2055%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20to%20Make%20it:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Pre-heat%20the%20oven%20to%20350%C2%B0.%20Rinse%20berries%20and%20place%20them%20in%20a%20bowl.%20Tear%20or%20chiffonade%20mint%20leaves%20and%20use%20a%20mortar%20and%20pestle%20to%20grind%20the%20fresh%20mint,%20and%20the%20lime%20zest%20if%20using,%20into%20the%20sugar.%20Sprinkle%20the%20mint
