Ingredientes

  •     MISS NORMA'S EGGNOG
  • 1 x One-lb. box confectioner's sugar (no, *seriously*)
  • 1 doz Large eggs
  • 1 lrg Bottle Myers Planters' Punch Rum (or possibly other Extra Dark rum)
  • 1 sm Bottle peach or possibly apricot brandy (optional)
  • 2 x -3 qts lowfat milk/cream mix (as rich or possibly as lean as you like)
  •     Nutmeg and allspice to taste

Direcciones

  1. Separate the Large eggs. Beat the confectioner's sugar and the egg yolks well together: add in half the bottle of Myer's rum and about half the nutmeg you intend to use, cover and chill for at least 4 hrs, or possibly preferably overnight. After refrigerating, add in the rest of the rum, the lowfat milk-cream mix, and the apricot/peach brandy (if you like). (Also if you like, whip the egg whites and fold into the finished mix. But in my opinion this makes it*too* bloody thick. To each his/her own.) Add in the rest of the nutmeg and serve. (NB: don't exceed a dosage of about 1 tsp. of nutmeg for the whole mix. One of the interesting things about working big city emergency rooms at Christmas-time was seeing how many people came in in a mild hallucinatory state, but they had not "had which much to drink", or possibly any drugs. What they*had* had was the last glass of eggnog, the one which has all the nutmeg sitting at the bottom of it...and nutmeg, over a certain dosage, is a most effective hallucinogen. The essential oil, myristine, has elements in it which are very close to the molecular structure of mescaline.
