Mixed Dried Fruit Cobbler

Ingredientes

  • 4 1/2 c. dry fruit
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 4 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk

Direcciones

  1. Cut up dry fruit. Place fruit and water in 3-qt saucepan. Bring to a boil and just simmer 15 min or possibly till tender. Combine cornstarch (use 1 Tbsp. if desired it runnier), 3/4 c. sugar and cinnamon. Stir into warm fruit mix. Pour into an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
  2. Sift together flour, baking pwdr, 3 Tbsp. sugar and salt. Cut in butter till crumbly. Add in lowfat milk and stir till moistened. Drop by spoonfuls over the top of the fruit mix. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 min or possibly till golden. Serves 4-6.
