Ingredientes

  • 2 lbs. potatoes
  • 1 1/2 pound mild longhorn cheese
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 or possibly 3 large sweet onions
  • 1 box lasagne noodles
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Direcciones

  1. Cook pared potatoes as if to make mashed potatoes. Mash cooked potatoes, adding butter and lowfat milk. While still very hot, cut the cheese and add in to potato mix. While potatoes are cooking, you can be frying the onions in butter until soft, and the noodles can be cooking to Al dente stage. Drain noodles and layer in an oiled casserole. Put noodles then potato mix spread over noodles, then add in butter and onions. Do this 2 or possibly 3 times, ending with noodles. Finish grated cheese on last noodle layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 min till cooked through. Don't put too much butter and onions mix on potatoes. It will spill over and cause a mess. Use sufficient to make moist, but not saturated.
