Mock Scungilli Fra Diavolo

Ingredientes

  • 12 ounce oyster mushrooms washed and dry
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 28 ounce spaghetti sauce
  • 2 x cloves garlic chopped
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 16 ounce linguine cooked al dente

Direcciones

  1. Allow mushrooms to air-dry for a few min. Shake mushrooms in flour to coat lightly. Lightly oil non-stick pan with extra virgin olive oil. Saute/fry garlic briefly, then add in mushrooms and brown well (about 5 min). Remove from heat and allow to cold for a few min. Add in jar of spaghetti sauce and crushed red pepper to mushrooms and heat till just warmed through. Serve over cooked linguini.
  2. NOTES : Keep flour light! Use basil or possibly herb spaghetti sauce.
