Moist Apple Tart With Almonds

Ingredientes

  • ¼ c. (60 g) butter
  • 1/3 c. (35 g) icing sugar
  • ½ ounce (15 g) grnd almonds
  • 4/5 c. (100 g) flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 apples
  • 1/3 c. (75 g) liquid whipping cream
  • ½ ounce (15 g) flaked almonds

Direcciones

  1. Cream the butter in a bowl, and then add in the icing sugar, grnd almonds and a quarter of the flour. Stir
  2. Add in the egg and the rest of the flour
  3. Mix without working the dough too much
  4. Cover the bowl and put it in the refrigerator for 6 hrs
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)
  6. Peel and core the apples, and cut them into small cubes
  7. Put half of the cubes and the cream into a frying pan and cook till you have a compote
  8. Set aside
  9. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough on a floured countertop till it is about 1/5″ (½ cm) thick
  10. Place the dough into a buttered flan dish with a removable bottom and bake in the oven for about 15 min
  11. Take the dish out of the oven and spread the apple compote onto the dough, followed by the raw apple cubes and flaked almonds
  12. Put it back into the oven and bake for 10 min
  13. This last stage finishes off cooking the dough, cooks the small cubes of apple and browns the almonds.
