Ingredientes

  • 3 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. honey
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 c. hot coffee or possibly strong tea
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 1/4 c. rye or possibly whisky
  • 1/2 c. slivered or possibly sliced almonds

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 10-c. bunt pan. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, salt and spices.
  2. Make a well in the center, and add in the oil, honey, sugars, Large eggs, vanilla, coffee, orange juice, and rye or possibly whisky. Using a strong wire whisk or possibly electric mixer on slow speed, combine the ingredients well to make a thick batter, making sure which no ingredients are stuck to the bottom of the bowl. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the top of the cake proportionately with the almonds. Place the pan on 2 baking sheets stacked together and bake till the cake springs back when you touch it gently in the center. Bake for 60 to 70 min. Cake should spring back when gently pressed. Let the cake stand for 15 min before removing it from the pan. Then invert it onto a wire rack to cold completely.
  3. Note: If youprefer not to use the whiskey, replace it with extra orange juice or possibly coffee.
