Molasses Yogurt Veggie Salad

I was craving for a yummy salad but wanted to make some home-made dressing for it. After a few tries settled on this one. It turned out nice.

Ingredientes

  • For Dressing-
  • 1 cup greek yogurt.
  • 1 tsp tamarind pulp
  • 1.5 tbsp molasses
  • For Salad-
  • 1/2 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup green steamed peas
  • 1tsp lemon pepper/ 21 seasoning mix

Direcciones

  1. To make dressing-
  2. Put a big fine strainer over a vessel such that it does not touch the bottom of the vessel.
  3. Put yogurt in the strainer and let it stand for at least 3 hrs so that all the water drips into the vessel and yogurt thickens.Do not disturb the yogurt, it will loose all its water naturally.
  4. After 3 hrs, take a bowl and mix yogurt with molasses and tamarind pulp such that no lumps remain.
  5. Arrange the greens on serving plate. Put dressing over it.Season it with lemon pepper.
  6. Enjoy.
  7. You can also put roasted chicken or mushrooms as per your liking.
