Mom's Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. Minute Rice
  • 2 3/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Combine Minute Rice, lowfat milk and raisins, sugar, butter, salt, vanilla and nutmeg in a buttered 1 qt baking dish. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring after 15 min and again when pudding is done. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve hot or possibly chilled. Pudding thickens as it stands. Serves 4-5.
  2. Note: Ingredients can be doubled for more servings with the exception of lowfat milk using just 4 c. of lowfat milk.
