Mom's Spinach Lasagna

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound Ricotta or possibly sm. curd cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn minced spinach, thawed and liquid removed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 (15-16 ounce.) jars spaghetti sauce (Prego works well)

Direcciones

  1. In large bowl mix Ricotta, 1 c. Mozzarella, egg, spinach, salt, pepper and oregano. In greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish, layer: 1/2 c. sauce, 1/3 of noodles, and half of cheese mix. Repeat.
  2. Top with remaining noodles and then remaining sauce. Sprinkle with remaining half c. of Mozzarella. Pour water around edges. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min. Let stand 15 min before serving.
