Ingredientes

  • 2 (1 ounce) bottles red food coloring
  • 3 T instant cocoa (Nestle's)
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 T vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Direcciones

  1. Mix coloring and cocoa. Cream together shortening, sugar and large eggs. Add in color mix. Beat 10 min with electric mixer at medium speed. Add in buttermilk. Slowly add in flour that has been sifted 3 times. Add in salt and vanilla. Remove beaters. Mix in vinegar and soda lightly with spoon. Bake in 3, 8 inch pans that have been lightly floured and wax papered, at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 min.This cake is good with any butter cream frosting.
