Mushroom Rice ( Gucchi Pulao )

Ingredientes

  • 4 tsp sunflower oil
  • 150 gm mushrooms sliced
  • 300 x gbasmati rice washed and liquid removed
  • 600 ml warm water
  •     salt

Direcciones

  1. Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed pan and add in the mushrooms.
  2. Fry till they turn dark.
  3. Add in the rice and fry till it is translucent/soft and shiny Pour in the water add in salt and bring to the boil.
  4. Reduce the heat cover partially and simmer till the rice is fluffy and dry.
  5. The mushrooms will rise to the top so gently fold them into the rioe with a fork.
  6. Serve warm with a meat or possibly vegetable curry.
  7. Depend on basmati rice for aroma.
  8. Serves 4
