%20for%20dinner%20tonight.%20I%20offered%20to%20help%20out%20and%20make%20one%20of%20the%20dishes%20as%20it%20is%20quite%20a%20big%20job%20to%20cook%20for%20so%20many%20and%20of%20course%20because%20I%20like%20to%20cook%20anyways.%20A's%20menu%20for%20tonight%20is%20vegetarian,%20which%20he's%20a%20bit%20worried%20about%20as%20he%20really%20likes%20his%20meat%20and%20rarely%20cooks%20veggie,%20but%20not%20all%20the%20other%20guests%20do%20share%20in%20his%20carnivourous%20preferences.%20So%20as%20to%20not%20to%20have%20to%20add%20any%20more%20worry,%20he%20decided%20to%20make%20a%20curry%20as%20he's%20good%20at%20it%20and%20South%20Asian%20is%20one%20of%20his%20favourite%20cuisines.%20He%20is%20cooking%20a%20cauliflower%20and%20potato%20curry%20and%20I%20thought%20Muttar%20Paneer%20would%20go%20quite%20well%20alongside%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20haven't%20heard%20of%20Paneer%20or%20Panir%20before,%20it%20is%20a%20South%20Asian%20cheese,%20which%20doesn't%20melt%20when%20cooked%20and%20therefore%20makes%20a%20perfect%20ingredient%20for%20a%20vegetarian%20curry.%20Muttar%20Paneer%20originates%20from%20the%20Punjab%20and%20is%20not%20a%20particularly%20spicy%20curry,%20instead%20it%20has%20many%20subtle%20flavours%20that%20compliment%20each%20other%20perfectly%20and%20are%20well%20balanced.%20If%20you%20prefer%20a%20bit%20of%20heat%20though,%20just%20add%20a%20finely%20chopped%20chili.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMuttar%20Paneer%20(serves%204-6)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efresh%20coriander,%20chopped%20(to%20garnish)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20the%20oil%20or%20ghee%20in%20a%20large%20heavy%20bottomed%20frying%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20cuben%20paneer%20and%20fry%20until%20golden.%20Remove%20from%20the%20pan%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20necessary%20add%20a%20little%20more%20oil%20or%20ghee%20and%20fry%20the%20onions,%20until%20soft%20and%20golden.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20add%20the%20spices%20and%20the%20garlic%20and%20fry%20for%20another%20couple%20of%20minutes%20until%20fragrant.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20tomatoes%20and%20about%20250ml%20(1cup)%20water%20and%20stir.%20Bring%20to%20a%20a%20boil,%20reduce%20the%20heat%20and%20simmer%20for%20about%20five%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20peas%20and%20return%20the%20fried%20cheese%20to%20the%20pan.%20Cover%20and%20continue%20to%20simmer%20for%20about%2020%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe%20with%20pilau%20rice%20and/or%20naan%20bread%20or%20chappati.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
