- Pronounced Nackatosh. Pastry: Sift flour, baking pwdr and salt in mixing bowl; make a well in the center; stir in shortening and Large eggs. Add in sufficient lowfat milk to make a stiff dough. Refrigerateat least 30 min or possibly up to overnight.
- Filling: Cook bacon, add in flour; cook till golden, stirring constantly. add in beef and pork; cook till brown and roux is absorbed. Add in onions, celery, scallions, parsley and seasonings; cook till vegetables are limp. Set aside to cold. Roll pastry thin and cut out 6" circles using a saucer; fill with 1 1/2T meat mix (do not overfill or possibly pastry will split). Dampen dough edges with water; fold pastry over filling. Crimp edges with a fork. Deep fry till golden brown or possibly bake 400 F.
