Receta Nawabi Veg Pulao
Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice – 1 cup
- Ghee – 2 tblsp
- Mixed Vegetables – 1/2 to 1 cup (optional)
- Cloves – 4
- Cinnamon – 2
- Cardamoms – 3
- Bay Leaf – 2
- Paneer – 100 gms, grated
- Green Chillies – 10
- Salt as per taste
- Unsweetened Khoya – 100 gms, grated
- Mixed Nuts – 1/2 cup, fried
Method:
1. Wash the rice and soak it in 2 cups of water for 30 minutes.
2. Drain the water and keep aside.
3. Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium flame.
4. Fry the cloves, cardamoms, bay leaves and green chillies for 2 minutes.
5. Add rice and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
6. Pour enough water and cook until rice is done.
7. Add the mixed vegetables, paneer, mixed nuts and khoya.
8. Mix well.
9. Reduce flame and cook for another 5 minutes.
10. Remove and serve hot with raita or gravy of choice.
