No Crust Quiche Lorraine

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 lb bacon diced
  • 2 c. minced onions
  • 8 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 lb Gruyere or possibly Mozzarella cheese diced

Direcciones

  1. Saute/fry bacon in skillet over medium heat till cooked halfway, 6 to 8 min. Add in onions and cook till onions are tender, but not browned. Pour off most of fat.
  2. Combine Large eggs, salt, pepper and nutmeg and beat well. Add in lowfat milk and blend well. Spread onion mix in 13- by 9-inch pan, then sprinkle proportionately with cheese. Pour egg mix over cheese.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees 35 to 45 min, or possibly till knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  4. This recipe yields 12 servings.
