Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. All purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 x Large eggs, separated
  • 1 can (12 ounce.) evaporated skim lowfat milk
  • 3 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp Maple flavored extract
  • 1/2 c. Finely minced pecans

Direcciones

  1. In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking pwdr, and salt; set aside.
  2. In large mixer bowl, combine egg yolks, evaporated skimmed lowfat milk, oil and maple extract; beat well. Gradually add in dry ingredients, beating well after each addition till smooth. In small mixer bowl, beat egg whites till stiff peaks form. Fold into batter. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Pour 1/2 c. bater onto warm iron; sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. minced pecans. Bake 3 to 4 min or possibly till steaming stops. Repeat with remaining batter and nuts.
  3. For Nutty Maple Pancakes: Pour 1/2 c. batter onto preheated greased griddle or possibly electric skillet. Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. minced pecans; bake and turn. Repeat with remaining batter and nuts.
