Cranberry Oatmeal Sourdough Scones with Orange Glaze

Ingredients

In large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.

With pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In small bowl combine egg, apple juice, yogurt, orange extract, orange zest and true orange, if using.

Add to flour mixture; egg mixture, sourdough starter and chopped cranberries. Mix lightly.

Turn out dough onto a well floured surface. knead 8-10 times. Pat dough into a 8-10 inch circle. Cut into 10 wedges. Place on parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake at 425 for 12-15 mins Transfer to a wire rack. Cool, Glaze with Orange Glaze.

Orange Glaze: 1-1/2 c confectioners sugar

2-3 T orange juice

Stir together sugar and orange juice until desired consistency. Drizzle over scones
