Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. Unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. Quick rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. Firmly packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 5 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Golden brown raisins
  • 2/3 c. Buttermilk
  • 1 lrg Egg
  •     Confectioners' sugar, (opt.)

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 400'F. Lightly grease 8-inch-round baking pan. In large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking pwdr, and salt. With pastry blender or possibly 2 knives, cut in butter till mix- ture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in raisins.
  2. In glass measuring c., beat together buttermilk and egg; stir into flour mix just till blended and stiff dough forms. Press dough proportionately into greased pan; with knife, score top deeply into 8 equal wedges.
  3. Bake 18 to 20 min or possibly till center springs back when gently pressed.
  4. Cold in pan on wire rack 10 to 15 min; cut into wedges and serve hot.
  5. If you like, sift confectioners' sugar over top.
