Oatmeal Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 Tbsp. yeast (1 pkg.)
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 2 c. oats
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 2 1/2 tsp salt
  •     soaked oats
  • 4 c. whole wheat flour (sufficient so it
  •     doesn't stick to board while (4 to 5) you are kneading)

Direcciones

  1. Mix first ingredients together.
  2. Let mix rise 45 min.
  3. While sponge is rising:put 2 c. oats (dry oatmeal) in a bowl, cover with warm water, stir and let sit 30 min, pour off any remaining water
  4. To sponge mix add in:1/4 c. oil2 1/2 teaspoon saltsoaked oats4-5 c. whole wheat flour (sufficient so it doesn't stick to board while you are kneading)
  5. Let rise till double. Punch down,form into two loaves. Place in loaf pans and let rise till double.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 min.
