Oatmeal Yogurt Pancakes

Ingredientes

  • 1 x egg or possibly 2 egg whites
  • 6 ounce peach flavored lowfat yogurt or possibly other flavor
  • 1/2 c. old-fashioned or possibly quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. skim lowfat milk or possibly more
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  •     Additional yogurt if you like

Direcciones

  1. Heat griddle or possibly skillet over medium heat or possibly to 375F. Griddle is ready when a few drops of water sprinkled on the surface jump around. Grease heated griddle with margarine if necessary. Beat egg in large bowl, using hand beater; stir in remaining ingredients except additional yogurt. (For thinner pancakes, stir in an additional 2 to 4 Tbsp. skim lowfat milk.)
  2. For each pancake, pour about 3 Tbsp. batter from tip of large spoon or possibly from pitcher onto warm griddle. Cook till puffed and dry around edges.
  3. Turn and cook other sides till golden. Serve with additional yogurt. 10 pancakes.

  6. Made with fruit flavored low-fat yogurt - there are so many flavors available now. We could easily carry this idea over to a reduced-fat Bisquick pancake recipe.
