Ingredientes

  • Oats-1 cup( i used Quaker oats)
  • Channa dal/Bengal gram-1\2 cup
  • Toor dal-1\2 cup
  • Green chilly-2( see note)
  • Fennel seeds-1 tsp
  • ginger- 1 inch piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking soda-1\4 tsp(optional)
  • Oil-as needed

  1. 1.Clean and soak both dals for 2-3 hrs.Drain the water ,transfer it to a blender along with
  2. oats,green chilly,fennel seeds and ginger.
  3. 2.Grind it into a coarse paste with a very little water,transfer to bowl.Add salt and baking soda if adding and mix well.
  4. 3.Heat the paniyaram pan.Drizzle some oil in each hole.Pour a small laddle of the batter in each hole.
  5. 4.When cooked on one side flip and cook on the other side till it becomes light golden colour.
  6. Serve hot with ur favourite chutney or ketchup.
