Receta Old Fashion Corn on the Cob
Old Fashion Corn on the Cob
- This is a delicious recipe that can take blah corn and turn
- it into a sweet treat. Although it’s hard to find corn that isn’t sweet on
- occasion you stumble across cor that can use some help or you have corn that
- you just want to sweeten up in general.
- I love the idea of this recipe and the flavor is simply
- delicious. I know many people wills say they don’t want to add sugar to a
- recipe but in all honesty it doesn’t do much to alter the flavor of the corn I think
- it simply enhances the corns flavor.
- 1/2 gallon water
- 1/3 quart milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 4 ears fresh corn, shucked and silk removed
- Place the water, milk, butter, sugar, salt, and red pepper
flakes in a large, heavy pot and bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
Add the corn, reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook
until tender, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat and let stand until needed.
