Old Fashioned Bread and Butter Pudding

Ingredientes

  • About 6 Tbs (90 ml) butter
  • 8 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped dried fruit of your choice
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) brown sugar
  • 2 cups (500 ml) milk
  • 3 eggs

Direcciones

  1. Butter the bread and cut into triangles, squares, or fingers.
  2. Place half the bread in a greased 1-quart (1 L) baking dish.
  3. Add the dried fruit and half the brown sugar, and place the remaining bread on top.
  4. Whisk together the milk and eggs and pour over the bread.
  5. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar and let sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Bake in a preheated 325F (165C) oven until the top is golden brown and crisp, 30 to 40 minutes.
