Ingredientes

  • 4 c. cubed white bread
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. For pudding, in large bowl combine bread and raisins. In 1 qt saucepan, combine lowfat milk and 1/4 c. butter. Cook over medium heat 10 min or possibly when butter has melted. Pour lowfat milk mix over bread; let stand 10 min.
  3. Stir in remaining pudding ingredients. Pour into greased casserole. Bake for 40-50 min or possibly till set in center.
  4. Vanilla Sauce: In saucepan combine 1/2 c. sugar, brown sugar, whipping cream and 1/2 c. butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, till mix thickens and comes to a full boil, 5-8 min. Stir in 1 tsp. vanilla. Serve sauce over hot pudding.
