Ingredientes

  •     vegetarian
  • 100 gm selfraising flour
  • 15 gm soft baking margarine
  • 15 gm caster sugar
  • 75 gm sultanas
  •     grated rind and juice of 1 small orange
  • 1 x egg
  •     about 3 Tbsp. lowfat milk

Direcciones

  1. Lift the simmering plate lid for about 30 min before cooking the pancakes to cold the plate down.
  2. Measure all the ingredients into a bowl and beat till smooth.
  3. The mix should be a thickish batteryou may have to add in a little more lowfat milk.
  4. Take apiece of kitchen paper make it into a pad then dip in oil and grease the simmering plate.
  5. Take a Tbsp. of the batter pour on to the simmering plate and spread to a round of about 65mm.
  6. Allow to lightly brown underneath and let the top set about 2 to 3 min.
  7. Turn over and cook for a further 2 min.
  8. Lift off and keep hot covered with a teatowel.
  9. Continue cooking till all the batter has been used up.
  10. Serve hot with butter.
  11. Some might like maple syrup or possibly honey as well.
  12. These ore cooked on the simmering plate rather than in an oven and are delicious for tea.
