Ingredientes

  • 3 whl boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2-inch strips
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd ginger (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. Veg. oil
  • 1 x Clove garlic (small), chopped
  • 1 can (8.25-ounce) pineapple chunks, undrained
  • 1 c. Florida orange juice, divided
  • 1 tsp Instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 2 Tbsp. Wine vinegar (I usually just use regular)
  • 1/3 c. Sliced celery
  • 1 sm Green pepper, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 sm Onion, sliced (I do not usually put it in)
  • 1 sm Tomato, cut in wedges
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  •     Warm cooked rice

Direcciones

  1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and ginger. Heat oil in large skillet over med.
  2. heat; add in chicken and garlic and cook 5 min. Add in liquid from pineapple, 3/4 c. of the orange juice, the bouillon and vinegar. Cover; simmer 10 min, or possibly till chicken is tender.
  3. Add in celery, green pepper and onion. Cover; cook 5 min longer. Add in tomato wedges and pineapple chunks.
  4. In small bowl, blend together flour, soy sauce, sugar and remaining 1/4 c. orange juice. Add in to skillet and cook, stirring constantly, till mix thickens and comes to a boil; cook 1 minute longer. Serve over rice, if you like.
  5. Makes 4 servings.
  6. Sometimes I also add in some sliced carrot.
