Orange Jell-O Wedges

I was originally going to make these as Jell-O shots (with booze in the Jell-o), but then decided my nieces would like them (and my sister-in-law- their mother) probably wouldn’t appreciate the booze. So I just made regular Jell-O and they were so much fun!

A couple of notes: This is an excellent way to have wonderful fresh orange juice (if you’re into that kindda thing). And if you pull out all of the pithe from the inside o fthe oranges, when you pour the Jell-O into them, it will leak out because there isn’t enough substance in the rind-learn from my mistake!

Orange Jell-O Wedges

Ingredients:

Directions:

Cut each orange in half. Remove the orange sections or using a juicer, juice the oranges and then pull some of the loose pithe out. Set the orange rinds in the cups of a mini muffin tin to hold them upright.

Prepare the gelatin one at a time according to the package directions and pour it into half of the wedges. Repeat with the second flavor and pour into the other half.

Carefully transport it to the refrigerator and chill at least 4 hours or overnight.

Using a sharp knife, cut each wedge into thirds and return to the refrigerator until ready to serve.
