Orange Roulade

This orange roulade is one of my comfort foods. Is easy, there’s no mess in the kitchen, and it stands for a couple of days untainted.

Ingredientes

  • 9 eggs
  • 450g sugar
  • 2 tbs corn starch
  • 2 oranges, juice and zest

Direcciones

  1. Grease a baking sheet and line it with grease paper.
  2. Turn the oven to 170ºC.
  3. Dissolve the corn starch in the orange juice.
  4. Beat all ingredients, by hand, with a whisk until all is combined.
  5. Place the mixture in the baking sheet and place it in the oven for about 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center turns out clean.
  6. As soon as it comes out of the oven sprinkle the cake with sugar and place a kitchen cloth over it. Turn the baking sheet over so the cake stands on top of the cloth.
  7. With the help of the cloth roll the cake until forms a roulade.
  8. Let the cloth holding the roulade until it has cooled down and it’s time to serve it.
