Receta Oriental Barbecued Short Ribs

- Trim the excess fat off the short ribs.
- Score the meat, cutting every 1/2", almost to the bone
- Combine the remaining ingredients (except the scallions) to create the marinade.
- Pour the marinade over ribs, and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
- Remove the meat from the marinade, and grill it over charcoals or broil it under a broiler.
- Broil for about 15 minutes, or until well-brown.
- Start with the meat side first, and finish with the bones toward the heat.
- Then place the broiled meat into a hotel pan.
- Continue cooking the short ribs in a 375 F oven for about 30 minutes, or until the ribs are medium-rare to medium or have reached an internal temperature of 140-145 F.
- Garnish the short ribs with sliced scallions and serve.
