,%20but%20I'm%20hoping%20the%20mixture%20of%20putrefied%20eggs,%20dried%20blood,%20and%20garlic%20oil%20that%20I%20sprayed%20around%20fence%20will%20deter%20them.%20(I%20bought%20the%20mixture-%20just%20in%20case%20any%20of%20you%20were%20thinking%20that%20I've%20been%20drying%20blood%20in%20my%20food%20dehydrator%20and%20rotting%20eggs%20in%20my%20garage.%20Gross!)%20Wish%20me%20luck!%20I'm%20so%20excited%20about%20my%20garden,%20that%20if%20that%20doesn't%20work,%20I%20may%20just%20set%20up%20camp%20out%20there%20and%20attempt%20scare%20the%20critters%20away%20all%20night...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBefore%20I%20head%20out%20of%20grab%20my%20camping%20gear,%20I'd%20like%20to%20to%20share%20a%20recipe.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecently,%20I%20threw%20together%20a%20pasta%20with%20summer%20squash.%20Hopefully,%20in%20a%20couple%20of%20months,%20I%20can%20make%20this%20with%20the%20zucchini%20from%20my%20garden!%20I%20had%20pasta%20leftover%20from%20the%20Sun-dried%20Tomato%20Pasta%20Sauce%20I%20served%20last%20week,%20so%20I%20decided%20to%20use%20up%20the%20leftovers%20by%20tossing%20them%20with%20some%20sauteed%20summer%20squash.%20It%20was%20so%20simple%20to%20make%20and%20totally%20delicious.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20began%20by%20heating%20some%20olive%20oil%20in%20a%20skillet.%20Then%20I%20sliced%20up%20a%20zucchini,%20a%20yellow%20squash,%20and%20half%20of%20a%20sweet%20onion.%20I%20added%20them%20to%20the%20oil%20and%20sprinkled%20on%20some%20seasoning%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20until%20the%20veggies%20start%20to%20caramelize%20a%20bit,%20turning%20a%20nice%20brown%20color.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20stir%20in%20some%20wide%20egg%20noodles%20and%20toss%20them%20around%20until%20incorporated%20into%20the%20mixture%20and%20heated%20through.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDish%20it%20up%20with%20a%20sprinkle%20of%20Parmesan%20cheese%20and%20that's%20dinner!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20oil%20in%20a%20large%20skillet%20with%20sides.%20Add%20sliced%20zucchini,%20yellow%20squash,%20and%20onion.%20Sprinkle%20with%20seasoning%20salt.%20Saute%20until%20the%20vegetables%20begin%20to%20brown%20and%20are%20tender.%20Toss%20with%20cooked%20noodles%20and%20heat%20through.%20Salt%20and%20pepper%20to%20taste.%20Sprinkle%20with%20Parmesan%20cheese%20before%20serving.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESince%20I%20spent%20the%20weekend%20working%20out%20in%20the%20lawn%20and%20garden,%20I%20didn't%20have%20time%20to%20come%20up%20with%20a%20meal%20plan.%20Here%20are%20some%20upcoming%20posts%20to%20look%20for%20on%20Krista's%20Kitchen:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20to%20Freeze%20Asparagus%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERhubarb%20Pudding%20Cake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThai%20Shrimp%20Curry%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20hope%20that%20you%20are%20all%20enjoying%20the%20first%20days%20of%20June!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
