Receta Out to Brunch: Brunch Feast at Boqueria Penn Quarter
by Lauren DeSantis

Boqueria Penn Quarter is offering an amazing Bottomless Brunch all spring and summer long! Go check out the new space and spend two hours brunching with your crew! Boqueria is a Barcelona-inspired tapas bar serving a menu of Spanish classics and market-driven seasonal specials. My father lived in Spain when he was younger and every time he visits me in the District I always make reservations at Boqueria. It puts the biggest smile on his face when they come out with little Datiles con Beicons and multiple plates of the traditional Tortilla Espanolas. It’s my go-to spot for sangria and shareable bites after work, but they are now offering bruuuuunch! Boqueria Penn Quarter will be serving brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am-2:00pm. Guests can enjoy brunch a la carte, or for those with a more ambitious appetite, as a Brunch Feast for $42 per person (trust me, do the feast!) The feast includes 4 tapas dishes, 2 brunch dishes or 1 family-style feast for the table, churros con chocolate to finish, and BOTTOMLESS mimosas and sangría for a duration of two hours. A few of my favorite bites: Croquetas de Setas creamy croquettes of mushroom with black truffle allioli  Pimientos de Padron blistered shishito peppers, coarse sea salt  Pan con Tomate con Jamon grilled bread rubbed with tomato, garlic, and olive oil, with serrano ham, manchego cheese and olives Huevos Benedictinos  organic poached egg, english muffin, hollandaise, piquillo peppers  The new menu also features dishes exclusive to the second DC location!!! Including: Brunch Paella ($40 medium/$60 large), a decadent Spanish classic with a breakfast twist, featuring sunny-side-up organic farm eggs, bomba rice, pork belly, shrimp, Piquillo peppers, kale and rotisserie chicken Pollo Rustido Feast, made for sharing with slow-roasted rotisserie chicken, roasted root vegetables, eggs and salsa verde ($26 half/$48 whole). Make reservations today for brunch this weekend. You will not be disappointed :)  For more information, go to: Boqueria  photo credits: Jordan Burns and Rey Lopez Facebook Twitter Google+ Pinterest StumbleUpon LinkedIn
