Receta Oven Baked Hashbrowns
I love hash browns and I love them extra crispy. The problem (In my opinion) is that hash browns take forever to cool especially if you like them as crispy as I do. I found this great baked hash browns recipe that turned out perfect.
Other than the fact that you can just stick them in the oven I love that I don’t have to watch them as closely as I do when they are cooked on the stove top that allows me to get the rest of my breakfast made while the hash browns are look.
Little effort, little time, a lot of bang for a bag of hash browns!
Ingredients:
Bagged Frozen Hash Browns
Cooking Spray
- Salt and pepper to taste
- *cheese and grilled onions optional*
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400, and line the bottom of a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
Spray the foil lightly with butter flavored cooking spray or even coconut spray! It’s great too!
Evenly spread out the frozen hash browns in a 1/2 inch thick layer on the foil. I use the entire bag if I can get it on the pan but if not I make do with what I can. No not get thicker than ½ inch of your hash browns will not turn out as well.
Spray the top of the hash brown layer lightly with the cooking spray.
Bake for 30 minutes, turning the hash browns over halfway through, and re-spraying the top of the potatoes before returning to the oven for the second half of the baking time. When they are to your desired crispness remove them from the oven, and season with salt and pepper to taste. I even will at times top with grilled onions and cheese. My husband love it that way! Enjoy!!
