Oven Dried Apple, Pear And Peach Chips

Ingredientes

  • 1 x Bosc or possibly Bartlett pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 x apple, Granny Smith, thinly sliced
  • 1 lrg peach, thinly sliced
  • 4 Tbsp. water
  • 1 Tbsp. sauternes
  • 4 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 sm piece of peeled ginger

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 285 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small stainless steel saucepan, combine the sugar, Sauternes, water, and ginger over a medium heat. Once the liquid comes to a simmer, turn the heat to low till the sugar has dissolved (about 4 min).
  3. Throw away the ginger, brush the sugar mix on the apple, peach and pear slices and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Place the slices on the pan, then place another parchment piece on top and place another sheet pan on top to keep it in place in the oven. Bake them in the oven for about 80 min or possibly till crisp.
  4. Keep slices in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  5. Preparation time is 1 1/2 hrs.
