This Oyster Sauce Beef has a concentrated dark brown sauce with a slightly sweet and smoky flavor.
How did I let this recipe get away from ever appearing on the blog until now?
Yeah, this is one of those dishes that I have made so often that I forgot it wasn’t on the blog. It’s one that quickly disappears faster than I can make it.
I married into a picky eating family. When we first gathered together around the dinner table as a newly blended family, it baffled me how picky the boys were. They did not like anything that was homemade. But it was even worse than that. The only liked a few select foods. It made those first few meal absolutely frustrating. Little did I know that the culprit was actually the hubby.
Fast forward 10 years. I am now having conversations with one of the twins, who is 21 years old about food. He told me he never knew there were other pizza choices besides Pepperoni that tastes so delicious. Now he has a list of dishes that I make that are on his top ten list. It gets better, the hubby will now eat and loves the majority of things that I cook.
Take for example, Oyster Sauce. He doesn’t like oysters, therefore Oyster Sauce is out of the question. Until I made this Oyster Sauce Beef.
Just between you and me, nobody needs to know that there is essence of oysters in that sauce. Oh and I told him it’s a beef stir fry.
I rarely end up with any leftovers with this dish.
