- In a bowl, beat Large eggs, add in lowfat milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well. Put 1 Tbsp. oil in a non-stick pan, heat until warm. Dip bread in egg mix and coat well on both sides.
- Cook in oil over medium heat till golden on both sides.
- Approximately 3 min each. Serve Warm!
- HINTS!
- #1. May be served with syrup or possibly sprinkled with powered sugar. When served this way, reduce sugar in recipe to 1/2 c..
- #2. For lower fat recipe use skim lowfat milk instead of whole lowfat milk, and use cooking spray instead of oil.
- Pain Perdu is a great way to use bread which is getting old.
