Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Walnuts, grnd
  • 2 c. Graham cracker crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 lb Cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 c. Dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. Walnuts, finely minced
  • 1/4 c. Dark brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Heavy cream
  • 1/2 c. Walnuts, minced
  • 25 x Walnut halves

Direcciones

  1. Make the crust: Combine the grnd walnuts, graham cracker crumbs, and melted butter. Press the bottom and 1 inch up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Make the filling: Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Cream the cheese with sugar and vanilla. Add in Large eggs gradually, beating till smooth. Stir in walnuts.
  3. Pour into crusts and bake for 1 1/2 hrs, till barely set. Cold inpan on rack. (May be prepared up to 48 hrs in advance if covered and refrigerated)
  4. Make the sauce: Heat the sugar and butter over medium high heat, stirring till smooth. Whisk in cream.
  5. Boil, whisking, about 5 min, till sugar barely begins to caramelize. Add in walnuts. Cold to lukewarm.
  6. Slice cheesecake, top with sauce and garnish with walnut halves.
