Receta Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheerio Chunks
You should never say never.
Although I was unable to get pregnant, my husband and I did adopt three of the most amazing kids on the face of this earth. I had three children under the age of three and it wasn't long until MY car looked just like my friends. Cheerios and all.
There's just something magical about Cheerios. They are iconic and legendary and they couldn't be any better. That is...unless you mix them with peanut butter and chocolate. Drum roll please.......and now.....may we present......Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheerios Chunks.
I received the inspiration for these goodies from The Greedy Gourmet and boy are they good. They are chocolatey and peanut buttery with just the perfect crunch!
No matter what the age of your children - mine are now in their mid-20's - they will love these decadent snacks and you will too!
- Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheerios Chunks
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the semi sweet chocolate chips until melted. I put mine in for 45 seconds then took it out and mixed it and then put it back in for 20 second increments until ready. Be careful not to leave the chocolate in the microwave for too long or the chocolate will overcook. You can also melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
Pour 1 to 1 1/4 cups Cheerios into semi sweet chocolate mixture. Mix well so that the chocolate completely covers all parts of the Cheerios. If you would like more Cheerios, then add more! If you like more chocolate on your Cheerios, then add less cereal. You are the master of your own destiny with this! After mixing, set aside.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt your white chocolate chips. After melted, add the crunchy peanut butter and mix until well blended then add the remainder of the Cheerios.
In any shape silicone mold, alternately start "plopping" spoonfuls of both semi sweet cheerios and peanut butter cheerios together. I also used a cupcake tin with cupcake liners and that also worked fine.
When done, put your molds or tins into the refrigerator to set. When set, remove them from your mold and then watch them disappear!
