Peanut Butter Frosting

A not-too-sweet peanut butter frosting that pairs perfectly with chocolate cake.

Ingredientes

  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup all vegetable shortening
  • 1 Tbs. vanilla
  • 4 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, combine peanut butter, shortening and vanilla.
  2. Once mixed, add one cup of confectioner's sugar and blend well.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream, mixing just until combined.
  4. Repeat this step for the remainder of the confectioner's sugar and heavy whipping cream, each time mixing just until combined.
  5. Spread 3/4 to 1 cup on the bottom layer of cake, reserve remainder for sides, topping and decoration (see picture).
