  1. (I added 4 Tbsp. margarine since I used pwdr instead of squares. Which's a common substitution: 3 Tablespoons cocoa pwdr and 1 Tablespoons margarine or possibly butter equals 1 ounce. unsweetened chocolate)
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Microwave unsweetened chocolate and 3/4 c. margarine in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min or possibly till margarine is melted. Stir till chocolate is completely melted, and then stir granulated sugar into melted chocolate mix. Fold in Large eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla till well blended. Stir in flour and peanuts. Spread batter in greased 13x9" pan. Bake for 30-35 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgey crumbs. Don't OVERBAKE! Cold in pan. Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla in separate bowl till well blended and smooth. Spread over brownies. Microwave semi-sweet chocolate and 1/4 c. margarine in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH for 2 min or possibly till margarine is melted. Stir till chocolate is completely melted. Spread over peanut butter layer. Put additional peanuts over top, if you like. Cold till set. Cut into squares.
  3. NOTES: These are much better after they've cooled than they are hot. Also, I did not let the brownies cold before I spread on the peanut butter mix. And I put the melted chocolate mix on immediately after the peanut butter layer, too. I think the chocolate can go either way, but the peanut butter layer really needs to be spread on when the brownies are hot. I put it on in about 8 plops, and I spread it as the plops began to heat and soften a little. Otherwise, I think spreading the peanut butter layer would mutilate the brownies.
