Peanut Butter Praline Cookies

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1/2 c. Peanut butter, smooth or possibly crunchy
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Packed light brown sugar
  • 1 x Egg
  • 2 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. Coarsely minced peanuts
  •     Praline Glaze (recipe follows)

Direcciones

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat shortening and peanut butter until combined.
  2. Add in sugar and brown sugar; beat till fluffy. Beat in egg, lowfat milk and vanilla.
  3. Beat or possibly stir in flour and baking soda. Stir in peanuts. If necessary, refrigeratethe dough until it's easy to handle.
  4. Shape into 1-1/4-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
  5. Bake in a 375F oven for 8 to 10 min or possibly until set.
  6. Cold cookies in wire racks. Drizzle with Praline Frosting.
  7. Makes about 40cookies.
  8. Praline Frosting: In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 c. packed brown sugar and 1/4 c. whipping cream. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cold.
  9. While still soft drizzle over the cookies.
