Receta Peanut Sambar
Ingredients:
- Moong Dal – 1/2 cup, boiled
- Raw Peanuts – 1/4 cup, boiled
- Sambar Powder – 4 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – a pinch
- Onion – 1, chopped
- Tomato – 1, chopped
- Green Chillies – 2
- Red Chillies – 2
- Tamarind Extract – 1 cup
- Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Oil – 4 tsp
- Salt as per taste
Coriander Leaves – little
Curry Leaves – little
Method:
1. Heat little oil in a pan.
2. Fry the cumin seeds, mustard seeds and red chillies for 30 seconds.
3. Add the tomatoes, onions, green chillies, turmeric powder and stir.
4. Add the tamarind extract, sambar powder, asafoetida powder and bring to a boil.
5. Add salt, moong dal and peanuts.
6. Stir to mix well.
7. Bring to a boil again.
8. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot.
