Ingredientes

  • 3 lrg Hard pears
  • 2 c. Cranberries
  • 1/2 c. Orange juice
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 1 1/2 tsp Orange zest, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar, to 4 tb
  • 1/4 c. Walnuts
  • 2 c. Stale breadcrumb,coarse chop
  • 2 Tbsp. Melted unsalted butter
  • 2 ounce Blue cheese, eg Cambozola

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a shallow 1- to 1 1/2-qt baking dish. Core pears and cut into 1/2-inch thick slices to yield 2 1/2 c..
  2. Toast walnuts and chop coarsely.
  3. Combine fruit, juice, water, zest and sugar; gently toss to combine.
  4. Combine nuts, crumbs and butter. Scatter about 1/2 c. of the mix in the baking dish. Top with a third of the pear mix. Dot top with lima bean-size pcs of cheese (use half of the cheese). Top with another layer of crumbs, then continue layering, ending with a fruit layer topped with remaining crumbs. Press mix down gently but firmly.
  5. Cover and bake for 30 min.
  6. Uncover and bake for 15 min. Let cold 10 min before serving.
  7. Serves 8.
