Peas With Garlic

Ingredientes

  • 4 c. shelled peas (fresh, canned or possibly frzn)
  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 tbsp. butter (or possibly half butter & extra virgin olive oil)
  • Salt
  • Healthy pinch of oregano (to taste)
  • 2/3 c. stock (beef, chicken or possibly vegetable)

Direcciones

  1. If using fresh peas, shell and put them in a bowl of cool water to soak. Fry the onion and garlic slowly in butter till the onion is transparent, then add in the liquid removed peas and sprinkle with salt and oregano. Add in stock. Cover tightly and simmer very slowly for 30 min, stirring occasionally. Frzn peas will take 15 min. Serve warm.
