Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. sweet butter
  • 5 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • Dash salt

Direcciones

  1. Cream butter and shortening till smooth and well blended.
  2. Add in egg. Stir to blend.
  3. Add in remaining ingredients and mix till well blended. Don't over mix.
  4. Pat dough into 13x9 inch jelly roll pan. Prick with a fork.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 min.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare filling in a saucepan. Combine butter, brown sugar. Add in granulated sugar and honey. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 min without stirring.
  7. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans, add in whipping cream.
  8. Spread filling over prebaked pastry.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 min till dough is done and filling is lightly brown on top.
  10. Cut in squares to serve.
