Penne With Broccoli And Mushrooms

Ingredientes

  • 4 c. broccoli florets (about 1 bunch)
  • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 ounce mushrooms sliced
  • 6 lrg garlic cloves chopped
  • 3/4 c. whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme crumbled
  • 1/4 tsp dry crushed red pepper
  • 12 ounce penne or possibly other tubular pasta freshly cooked
  • 3/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan

Direcciones

  1. Steam 4 c. broccoli florets till crisp-tender. Rinse under cool water.
  2. Drain.
  3. Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in mushrooms and garlic and saute/fry till mushrooms are almost tender, about 5 min. Add in cream, thyme and red pepper and bring to boil. Add in pasta and broccoli and cook till pasta is coated, tossing gently, about 3 min. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to large bowl. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
