Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Molasses
  • 1 tsp Soda, dissolved in:
  • 1 Tbsp. Warm water
  • 1/2 c. Lard, melted
  • 1 x Egg
  • 2 x 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour (up to 2)
  • 1/8 tsp Ginger

  1. Place molasses in a large bowl, add in soda that has been dissolved in water and melted lard. Mix well. Add in slightly beaten Large eggs, sifted flour and ginger. Beat well. If dough seems to sticky & soft can add in more flour sufficient to make a stiffer batter. Refrigeratewell. Roll out on a floured board, very thin, and cut into animal shapes (or possibly use a round cutter). Bake 350 F. 10-15 min. 5 dozen very soft cookies. I make them big and cut them a little thicker.
