Receta Peppermint Bark
Peppermint Bark
I remember peppermint bark as a youngster, I always thought it was so pretty and that it must be so hard to make. It is pretty, but I couldn’t be more wrong about the ease of preparation. It is one of the easiest things that I make during the Holiday season! These are broken into large pieces, but really you only need a small piece to satisfy your craving…
Peppermint Bark
Ingredients:
- 1 (8 ounce) bag bittersweet chocolate
- 1 (11 ounce) bag white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2/3 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies
Directions:
In a double boiler, melt the bittersweet chocolate chips. Pour it onto a sheet pan lined with waxed paper and spread to about 1/8 inch thick. Cool completely in the refrigerator. Melt the white chocolate chips in the double boiler and add in the extract and the peppermint chips after you take it off the heat. Stir quickly then pour and spread over the chocolate layer. Refrigerate again until fully cooled and then break into pieces. Put in a pretty jar for a hostess gift or just on a pretty plate.
