Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 sticks cold butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 TBSP sugar
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening, diced
  • 1/2 cup ice water

Direcciones

  1. Cut butter into 1/2 inch dice and put back in fridge.
  2. Place the flour, sugar and salt in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade. Pulse to mix.
  3. Add the butter and shortening and pulse 10-12 times until the size of peas.
  4. With the machine running, pour cold water into tube until the dough forms a ball. Dump dough onto a floured surface and form into 2 equal sized discs.
  5. Refrigerated for at least 30 minutes
  6. Roll disc on a floured surface into 12-13 inch circle.
