Ingredientes

  • 3 quarts. popcorn, popped
  • 1 c. Karo light corn syrup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Food coloring (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Keep popped popcorn in hot oven. In a heavy saucepan, stir corn syrup, sugar and salt, cook over medium heat. Stir constantly till mix begins to boil. Don't stir again. Cook on low without stirring for 4 min. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla (and food coloring now). Slowly pour over popped popcorn mix with large spoon. When cold sufficient to handle, yet still quite hot, quickly shape into balls. Keeping your hands lightly buttered will keep mix from sticking to your hands. Makes 12 (3 inch) balls.
